    Agnus Dei II
This form is one of the most dramatic and expressive of musical history.
To make a stronger emotional impact I have decided to use two different materials: the “lamento”, that in popular music means the most suffering and expressive form and Gregorian chant, a given Cantus firmus that is the invisible link which connects all Missa Eclectica's pieces. Three points are the most peculiar of this composition: the use of glissando for the whole duration of the piece, non-temperated pitches and singing modes taken from World music cultures. While the lamento becomes a sort of “genetic code” of the whole composition, the cantus firmus is divided into little fragments between the voices, to lose its identity and assume the symbolic appearance of broken bread (Eucharist) for the salvation of human being.
