Notes

  • Program notes:

The title refers to Jean-Luc Godard's flm Bande à Part, in whose most famous scene the three protagonists chase through the Louvre. The images rushing past them overlap or superimpose in its perception. This scene provides the framework for bande à part : cuts and layers are two compositional means that can be seen in analogy to Godard's way of constantly changing and superimposing successive narrative perspectives and layers.
