Notes

  • Program notes:

Fragile wings flutter chaotically against the light,
Again and again it draws closer, flailing desperately,
Searching for light, searching for what’s beyond?
Searching for freedom, an escape, a way out of the darkness.

Relentlessly, bravely but naively fighting to get what it wants.

Exhaustion wins and a pause is taken, a soft calmness envelopes the air.

A sense, a daydream starts to build and explode.

Will a different path be taken? Will the same choices be made?
