Notes

  • Program notes:

Imagine a explosion and a moving reverberation. From this reverberation evolves into another explosion which also produces a reverberation and a further explosion. But all these explosions and reverberations are not equal, not equally strong or precise and with different duration and tempos. This alternates works like an organic body that grows according to impulses and reflections, as a germinating seed is observed in very high speed. This is the basic idea of this piece, pulse-reflection / reverberation-grow. Shô III is a free reflection on the harmonic possibilities on these instruments of the chords of Shô - Japanese wooden mouth organ.
