Notes

  • Program notes:

Inspiration of Chartres is the South rose window in the Chartres cathedral, which is inspired by the Apocalypse of John. My insight into this rose caused my search in musical form filled with symbolic of numbers and proportions. The expression of the rose itself dictated unsophisticated, yet sensible rhythmical solution. This composition is musical insight into the stained-glass window, it is an artistic look to the life of small pieces of glass when they are connected and glittering and eventually when they fall down and fade away.
