Reis, Hugo Vasco: Metamorphosis and Resonances for harp solo

Basic information

Notes

  • Program notes:

"Metamorphosis and Resonances" is a book, containing eight works for solo instruments (piano, viola, flute, cello, bass clarinet, harp, accordion and guitar). Its starting point is an intuitive processes closely linked to gestures, timbres, layers, images and focus, which define the progression of tension and distension, as well as the formal elements and the discourse of each work. The common idea to all compositions reflects a dialogue of complicity and conflict, pleasure and anguish, between the horizon and the abyss, between metamorphosis and resonance.
