Notes

  • Program notes:

“IOI” is the third composition from a cycle based on a solo piano piece “O”. The title “O” refers not only to it’s function in the cycle - “origin” in terms of music material, structure and form, but also, from the graphical point of view, to the cycle itself. “Interludium - Origin’s Ichor” “IOI” forms an inner part of the cycle and from the mentioned solo piano piece comes the ichor (the blood of the gods in Greek mythology), i.e. the source music parameters. The main idea is a gradual process of these parameters such as sound quality, dynamic, tempo, density or time between impulses. I look at the exposed music elements from contrast acoustic perspectives, their extreme qualities, which form a sonically homogeneous and transparent unit.
