Notes

  • Program notes:

Coral. What an enigmatic creation, what incredible array of sizes, colors and forms – from the steel needles to the flowy ones... Are they animals, plants or – stones? I, as a passionate snorkeler, am not dedicating any of the 8 attacca sections of this piece to the any specific kind of corals; it’s just a generalized imprint of my countless encounters with underwater flower gardens, loaded with no way less colorful fishes. My musical language is a well-mixed blend of all my close experiences, a post-modern cross-over, hovering between classical and pop, minimalism and improvisation.

  • Technical specs:

    Rider: A grand piano.

I would be extremely happy to perform this work by myself; on the other hand, it could be played also by every other professional pianist.
