Notes

  • Program notes:

《Sights on Yi Year》 is a piano solo. “Nuosu”—the self proclaimed name of the Yi people in Sichuan Daliang Mountain, Xiaoliang Mountain and Yunnan Yi area, is the largest group of Yi people, mainly distributed in Sichuan Daliang Mountain, Xiaoliang Mountain and some Yi areas in Yunnan. Based on the year of the Yi nationality, the work describes scenes in the “three days” of the year: ancestor worship, divination, drinking, wrestling, childlike fun, etc. That is how people deeply felt the music characteristics and customs of “Nuosu”.
