Notes

  • Program notes:

“Crisis" have many faces: they show in socio-political instability, the decline of civil institutions, a disturbance of peaceful coexistence, the dissolution of governments or painful emotional states within a person. Since the worldwide disturbance of the economic system that started in early 2008 and continues to this day, the "crisis" is on everyone's lips. Crisis take place in different phases and the cycle of a crisis (κύκλος tίς κρίσις) is the interaction of these phases. Prosperity, recession, depression, recovery: Manuela Kerer has put her ear to the inside of these phases and used, e.g., stock exchange charts and translated them into her music.
