Notes

  • Program notes:

The IV String Quartet is a three-piece, "neomodal", passionate music. The thematic contain of the first item is the big second interval. Besides of certain fading/faint sounds, a “lost” melody starts to evolve. The second part is a rhythmical, sometimes polyrhythmical, ostinato-based dynamic music, in which string instruments are treated as almost percussion ones. The third item is the continuation of the first and second theses, in which the pitch-based theme is the second interval. Musical tension is provided by the fragmentation of rhythmic formulas.
