Ferrando, Ignacio: Antipodes

Basic information

Notes

  • Program notes:

Antipodes is inspired by the concept of the day and its opposition, the night. The work reflects the evolution of the day from birth at 0:00 to the end at 24:00 and the contrast with what happens in the antipodes: day vs night. So the piece transits through different moments of the day: nightfall, daybreak, sunset, midday... evoquing with sound poetry the darkness and light of these different moments.
