Mozaic for solo piano is an updated version (2012) of an early elaborated work (2008). It represents an inner monologue through several different states of spirit: restlessness versus the search for excerpts of a long-lost silence and a dream like nostalgia.
The architecture of the work consists in five contrasting sections in what concourses the character, tempo, register, type of writing and syntax. The palindrome configuration which articulates this piece realizes a correspondence between the sections 1 – 5, and 2 – 4, while the third section represents the symmetry spindle which allows the remembrance in a varied from of the themes that correspond to the first sections. We also have to mention the fact that the last section is a synthesis of the entire thematically material of the piece.
