Notes

  • Program notes:

For flute or piano or…… is written for the Dutch ensemble Insomnio. They requested a piece that
could be performed by any musician, in any combination, from solo to ensemble. During the writing
process I decided to add a video. The video does not follow a narrative but is rather a strange
journey through objects, like a rose, a gun and squeaky toys and places like a garden an
underwater world and a staircase. It’s up to the audience to make a story out of it…..

(Performed by members of ensemble Insomnio (a.o. at the Gaudeamus week), performed as a
quartet by Mutu ensemble, various performances by the composer himself. All in the
    Netherlands.)

  • Technical specs:

Needed are: a beamer, a projection screen, two speakers (stereo), one line for the
clicktrack, a computer with sound card to play the film from. The film has two stereo out
on channel 1 and 2, the clicktrack is on channel 5.
It is also possible to slightly amplify the musicians when needed….that is up to the
    performers.
