Notes

  • Program notes:

"A Lay for a Light Year" is a short tone poem intended to express feelings about what
we see far away, and therefore some time ago in outer space. It consists mainly of
broad gestures set in a slightly nebulous harmonic flux, and its energetic
juxtapositions reflect something of how I imagine the interactions, collisions and Doppler
effects that take place in outer space are organised.
