Notes

  • Program notes:

Just as a kaleidoscope allows, using a small amount of colored crystals, to see a configuration of geometric figures in constant change, similar to each other but never the same, this piece is built on that idea of gradual and perpetual transformation of a harmonic material, composed of a series of five chords, and textural. The work is divided into three large sections of different characters each; the first being of a calm character, which contrasts with the second, marked with the indication "Animato", and both being synthesized in the third. These, in turn, are fragmented into small pieces, each similar to the previous one but never the same, and always in permanent transformation. In this way, it could be said that the piece is articulated in small structural "turns" that create different textural "figures" and different harmonic "colors", always in incessant alteration.
