The piece belongs to the cycle of the “Commentaries”.
In the “interview”, the viola has the opportunity to express different “looks” of her personality: a rubato speech, melodic designs, clear misurato appearances or free improvisations.
The architecture of the work can be followed at its 3 levels- different from both structural and emotional point of view: the main trajectory with a slow evolution (the electroacoustique medium), the viola’s solo and the 3 commentaries remembering and transforming the main moments of the musical evening.
The work contains a predetermined structure (the elctroacoustique one, an another variable one due to the player and a third one always different due to the different pieces included in the program and the vision of the soloist.
In this way, An Interview and three Commentaries enlights the personality of the soloist and in the same time creates bridges between the different pieces of the program.
