Buckley, Irene: Choral

Basic information

Notes

  • Program notes:

Choral is a coming together of influences such as early music, choral music and immersive electronic sound masses. In this piece, I was interested in experimenting with the tonal palette of the voice and combining these tone colours to create a tapestry of rich textures. Textless sounds allows one to focus in on these slowly fluctuating combinations. I am also interested in imperfection in sound and how it can create pathways to the unexpected.
