The main idea behind the Dialogues cycle is the creation of a dialectic dramaturgy within the monophonic limitations of a solo instrument: During the entire duration, two dialogue partners (played by one and the same musician) lead a continuous discussion between two basic musical materials, en passant exploring the rich sonic potentials of the respective musical instrument.
In Dialogues Fragiles, the dialogues take place between five different timbres, evolving from sustained into percussive sounds: twittering, yowling, whistling, pecking, dabbing.
During the piece, the five timbres appear in four different pairs (1-2, 2-3, 3-4 and 4-5). Due to fade-in and fade-out effects, in each pair, the timbres shift between foreground and background. Stuttering rhythms at the beginning and soft dynamics towards the end might give the
    dialogues a fragile character
