Notes

  • Program notes:

As a composer and pianist, I am interested in the sound of the piano. Today, it is fashionable to expand the possibilities of new playing techniques. I'm not very interested in that, because the piano, even in the traditional way of playing only on the keyboard, offers possibilities that so far few composers have used. I first explored the new sound form of the piano using traditional playing techniques in my piano etudes in 2000, and the Piano Suite - Six ways to fall asleep (2019) is a continuation of this direction. When I finished it, it turned out that all the parts ended in a piano or pianissimo and resembled falling asleep. I hope that the listeners will not fall asleep during the performance.
