Biography

Eric Verbugt was born in 1966. He studied composition at the Maastricht Conservatory with Robert HP Platz. From Centre Acanthes he got a scholarship to attend masterclasses from Luigi Nono and Elliot Carter.
His Bilder (aus dem Novecento) got an honorable mentioning in the International Gaudeamusweek. He was artist-in-residence at the Internationales Künstlerhaus Villa Concordia in Bamberg. Several times his work was performed in the Darmstädter Ferienkurse.
Eric Verbugt compositions were played a.o. Radio Kamer Filharmonie, Schönberg Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, Doelen Ensemble, Slagwerkgroep Den Haag, Dutch Chamberchoir Cappella Amsterdam, insomnio.
In the Concertgebouw Amsterdam his ..., ci tace was performed with soloists Ernest Rombout and Laura Aikin.
