Sysoev, Alexey 




Alexey Sysoev was born in 1972 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow College of Improvised Music, and after participated in various jazz, electronic and experimental projects as pianist and keyboardist for a long time. He also studied composition at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (2003-2011). In 2008-2011 — Post-graduate student. Candidate of art criticism.
Works of Alexey Sysoev have been performed at festivals: "Moscow Autumn", "Moscow Forum", "Pythian Games" (St. Petersburg), "Another Space" (Moscow), " Europe through the eyes of Russians. Russia through the eyes of Europeans" (Moscow), "Territory" (Sochi, Kazan, Moscow), "World Music Days 2008" (Vilnius), "Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival" (Kiel), "45' Internationale Ferienkurse Fur Neue Musik" (Darmstadt), "Schumannfest" (Düsseldorf), "Klangspuren festival" (Schwaz), "Transart festival" (Bolzano), "Venice Biennale", "La Folle Journee" (Nantes, Tokyo), "Festival Ljubljana", "KlaraFestival" (Brussels), Culturescapes (Basel), “Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2014” (Utrecht), "Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival" (Groningen).

Alexey is active the musician improvisator. He cooperated with such musicians as Vladimir Tarasov (Lithuania), Sachiko M (Japan), Toshimaru Nakamura (Japan), Boris Baltschun and "The Pitch Quartet" (Germany), etc.
Alexey's music was released on labels: "Creative Sources", "FancyMusic", "Melody", "ТОПОТ", "Spina! Rec", "Moscow Conservatory Records".
Alexey Sysoev is the author of music to theatrical performances by Kirill Serebrennikov, Boris Yukhananov, Philip Grigoryan, Vadim Zakharov, "Gay&Rony Club" (Netherlands). In 2013, Alexey was awarded the National Prize of the Russian theater for the best work in musical theater.
