Biography

Ivo Nilsson (1966) made his debute in 1989 with an octet premiered by ensemble l ́Itineraire at Radio France.
His music has been performed at festivals like Biennale di Venezia, Chiffren festival, EMUfest , Enescu festival, Gaudeamus Music Days, Huddersfield Contemporary Music festival, Ilhom, Musica, Roaring Hoofs (Mongolia), 2 Days and 2 Nights, Sonorities, Spazio Musica, Spectra, Time of music, Ultima, Warsaw Automn and the ISCM World Music Days (Hong-Kong, Stockholm, Zagreb).
He was the artistic director of the Stockholm New Music festival in 2003 & 2005. In 2017 he was elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
