Biography

Genevieve (Scotland, 1988) studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Birmingham Conservatoire, and Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. Previous tutors include Howard Skempton, Joe Cutler, Martijn Padding, Yannis Kyriakides.
Fascinated by psychology and disability Murphy’s work is regularly performed in concert halls and galleries including Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, Concertgebouw, and Stedelijk (Amsterdam), Muzički salon SC (Zagreb), ESC (Graz), La Fenice Theatre (Venice), MAXXI (Rome) with Slagwerk Den Haag, Camerata RCO, Storioni Trio, and IEMA performing her compositions.
Genevieve became a member of the Ulysses Network (2016) and was awarded the Nieuw Maker Subsidy with NB Projects/Nicole Beutler (May 2017).
