Megyeri, Krisztina 




Born in Budapest from a Hungarian and Russian parents, she studied piano and composition at Bartók Béla Conservatory, graduated in Composition (MA) at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, Budapest (2004). In 1999 she moved to France, studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon and later in Paris, graduated also as a piano accompanist-coach in 2003. MA holder in Musicology of the Université Paris-VIII Saint-Denis (2006, MA Thesis) on Peter Eötvös’s opera: Angels in America. She became a DMA in Composition of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy (DMA Thesis: Dramaturgy of Eötvös’s opera: Love and Other Demons). As a composer, Krisztina is a prize- and scholarship holder. Her music has been commissionned and performed by Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris, Fondation Royaumont, Orchestre National de Lorraine, Ensemble SIC, Peter Eötvös, recorded by Radio France, Hungarian and Finnish Radio, SWR, edited by EMB, Kontrapunkt and Hungaroton. Between 2009-12 Krisztina was a lecturer at the Faculty of Music of University of Pécs (PTE), from 2013 she is a teacher of Kodály Zoltán International Institute of Music Kecskemét and Biatorbágy Music School in Hungary.
