Liu, Li 




LI Liu, Chinese young composer, was born in Sichuan province. In 2004, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music with excellent marks and was offered scholarship at the same time. Under the tutelage of professor Xiaogang Ye, his composition was awarded in contest. In resent years, he often accept commissioned work including symphony, chamber music, Chinese traditional music, solo piece and other movie music.

Main compositions:

Piano solo Mountains in the Fall (won the gold medal in Shanghai Spring Piano Pieces Contest), Prairie

Art song Yellow Crane Tower (won he third prize in New Century Cup Art Songs Contest.) Whispering into the abyss

Chamber music Come From the Window (selected in‘music under 25’concert of Beijing Modern Music Festival), Colorful Sunset (for saxophone and piano,CD was published in The New Wave of Chinese Music as the album name), Staring (commissioned “Chamber music festival of CCOM”),Pedma Dorje
