Kim, Heera 




Heera Kim studied composition in Kyung-Hee university in Seoul, afterwards with York Hoeller, Hans Ulrich Humpert and Wolfgang Rihm. 2011-2013 she attended Cursus 1&2 in composition and computer music at IRCAM Paris.
She was winner of Forum Ost&West Prize, competition of ensemble for new music Zurich, Walter Witte prize, BMW composition prize, Günter Bialas competition, Berliner Opernpreis and Toru Takemitsu Award. 2008 she was recipient of Stipendium des Freundeskreises Karlsruhe, 2009 Unesco-Aschberg busary for Artists, 2012-2013 SACEM in France.
2008-2013 Artist in Residence in Kimmel Harding Nelson Art center, Gedok-Atelierhaus Lübeck, Denkmalschmiede Höfgen in Grimma, Visby Centre for Composer Sweden, Villa Sträuli Switzerland and Cité internationale des Arts Paris.
Her works are widely performed by (a.o.): Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lorraine in France, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble Interface, Ensemble AsianArt Berlin, Ensemble DissonArt Thessaloniki, Les cris de Paris, Neukoellner Opera.
