Biography

Ji Yu, Composer, Ph.D of Orchestration, was born in Qingdao and is now a teacher at Composition Department of Central Conservatory of Music. Learning after Shi Wanchun, Guo Wenjing, Niels Rosing-Schow, Chen Yi, Guo Weiguo, he received his Bechalor at Central Conservatory of Music, Master of Music at Royal Danish Academy of Music, Ph.D at Central Conservatory, and was a visiting Scholar at University of Missouri Kansas City. His works have been performed in many music festivals both at home and abroad, such as Beijing Modern Music Festival, PULSAR Festival ( Denmark), and Copenhagen Organ Festival. He has cooperated with Chinese and foreign performers, chamber orchestras and symphony orchestras such as China National Traditional Orchestra, Soeneborg Symphony Orchestra (Denmark), and Esbjerg Ensemble (Denmark ).
