Biography

Born in Wakayama, Japan in 1971. Studied composition with J. Schwantner and C. Rouse at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Returned to Japan in 1997 and started his career as a film composer. Have composed a number of soundtracks such as "DEATH NOTE" and "Hunter X Hunter". Re-started to compose serious music since the mid 2000's and have premiered a bunch of pieces including "DEATH NOTE Concertino" for Alto Saxophone and Wind Ensemble, "Concerto Grosso" for 12 Cellos, "Uta~ Mai~ Yume" for Double Saxophone Orchestra and "Beethoven Symposium" for Piano Trio.
