Flückiger, Esther 




The creative ideas of Esther Flückiger (Swiss) are unlimited. The pianist (classical, contemporary music, jazz and more), composer (acustic and electronic) and improviser is constantly trying out new ways and exciting musical adventures.

Flückiger has performed throughout Europe, Russia, Southamerica, Asia and USA for the most prestigious institutions and festivals. Her compositions includes chamber music, music for solo instruments, voice, music for jazz formations, electronic music, video projects, and music for etnoinstruments. She use traditional and experimental notation, improvisation and extended techniques. She created and organized numerous multimedia projects and music theatre including also her film (camera and editing). She made recordings for the Swiss-, German-, and Italian Radio and recorded a lot of CDs.

She is president of Suonodonne Italy, which is committed to the spreading of music by Women Composers and from 2002 till 2008 she has been executive member of the IAWM, USA. She was awarded several commissions for her work. NEWS: Her new multimedia Project COSMO (the 4 elements with poetry by Leonardo da Vinci ) in collaboration with AGON (Electronic Music Center Milan). The project will be performed at the Expo 2015 in Milan. She lives in Italy and Switzerland.
