Duelund, Ida 




Epione is a collaborative work by composer Ida Duelund (Denmark) and violinist Hester Bolle (Belgium). It is a celebration of the soothing character of sound and is especially a research in how timbre and space affects the human body and mind.
Ida Duelund
Is educated from Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark (primary studies: composition and contrabass). Her main focus has been on composing for dance and theatre and her main focus has been on creating unified and immersive beats and soundscapes
Her commissions include The Final Battle, Click Festival (2017), Preyed Upon A Symphony, Sankt Annæ Symphony Orchestra and Emma Acs (2016), Night On Bald Mountain, Malthouse Theatre, Melbourne (2014) and Another Lament, Chamber Made Opera, Melbourne (2012), John Cage Re-interpreted, ABC National Radio, Australia (2013).
Hester Bolle
Holds a master of Performing Arts and Music Education from the Conservatory of Ghent (Primary studies: violin with Olga Zolotareva).
As a performer, Hester specialises in using the violin with live effects and electronics. Her focus is on extending the timbral pallet of the violin and in the intuitive and improvisational use of this pallet. Her work includes performing with Oaktree (core-member and arranger), MonoMono, and Stadsduiven (sound project for Het Bos).
