Biography

Mr. Derecskei was born into a musician family in 1982. He began to play the violin at age 6 and immediately showed interest toward composing. Later he became a professional conductor, composer and violinist: he subsequently earned three master degrees at the world famous Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, and a doctorate degree in conducting in the USA. He worked closely with renowned maestri such as Riccardo Muti, Sir Neville Marriner and Valery Gergiev. As a practicing musician, many world premieres include his name both as a conductor as well as a violinist.
