Biography

Dr. Spyros Deligiannopoulos teaches Composition in the Music Department of Ionian University, Greece. He holds a PhD in Music Composition (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), where he also completed his BA in Musicology. Dr. Deligiannopoulos is also a graduate of the University of London (Goldsmiths College) where he completed postgraduate studies in Composition. He has participated in the International Music Institute Darmstadt (IMD) collaborating with Bryan Ferneyhough and Giorgos Apergis. Ηis compositions cover a wide variety of genres: chamber music, pieces for piano, soundtracks and symphonic works. Their majority has been performed in Greece and abroad (U.K., Germany, Italy).
