Simão Costa was born in 1979. He is a musician, pianist and composer/improviser.

Simão Costa's work is about SOUND, in its phenomenological, perceptive, visual and cultural dimensions... He’s obsessed with SOUND, as a plastic, tangible and physical material.

Since 2004 Simão Costa has worked as an author (artist, composer, improviser and coder) in solo projects and in collaboration with other musicians, visual artists, performers, actors, directors, dancers and choreographers.

Simão Costa's work can be found on stage, on CD, in form of code, in gallery, in museum and on the street.

It has been presented in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, Romania, Brazil, Austria, Estonia, Chile and Uruguay.

Simão Costa lives and works in Lisbon.
