Biography

Bianca Bongers (1987, NL) studied composition with Wim Henderickx and Luc van Hove at the
Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and cello with Monique Heidema at the Fontys Conservatory
of Tilburg. Additionally, she took masterclasses with Wolfgang Rihm, Brian Ferneyhough,
Rebecca Saunders, Daan Manneke and Willem Jeths. Her pieces were internationally
performed during festivals such as Gaudeamus Muziekweek, November Music, Lucerne
Festival, Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, Kurt Weill Fest, OpenDays Festival,
Ultraschall Berlin and Grachtenfestival. She worked amongst others with Royal Flemish
Philharmonic, Vincent van Amsterdam, Lucerne Festival Alumni, Kugoni Trio, Trio Catch,
International Ensemble Modern Academy, Ensemble Adapter and Trio Estatico.
