1951 in Wrocław, Poland. Composer, music critic, organizer. Lecturer at the Institute of Polish Studies, University of Wrocław. Composition studies in Wrocław with Ryszard Bukowski and in Katowice with Henryk Górecki, also at the courses a.o. with György Ligeti. Grants from e.g. Fondation Acanthes, Stiftung Kulturfonds and MacDowell Foundation. Awards at “Jazz at the Odra” festival, ZKP Award, Music Award of the City of Wrocław. In 1984-1996 co-director of Musica Polonica Nova festival (with Marek Pijarowski), in 2009 director of Musica Electronica Nova.
Performances at the Warsaw Autumn, Wratislavia Cantans, Musica Polonica Nova, Musica Electronica Nova and other festivals and concert seasons in Poland and abroad. Special concert series in Denmark (2001, 2011).
Active as music critic (literary monthly Odra, musical magazine Ruch Muzyczny 1975-2013), Polish Radio and TV. CD lines for the series Witold Lutosławski – Opera omnia (National Music Forum, Wrocław).
