The final stage of 2004 Formosa Composition Composition Contest took place in Taipei from March 19 ~20, 2005. This competition, which is open to Taiwanese composers with no age limited, this year's competition was for an ensemble work and concerto work and will release the CD with winner's work. The winner of the ensemble work is Hsien-Shen LIAN's work Eprouvante Simplicité and got NT$160,000. The Second Prize is Ding-Yi MA's work Formosa Nastagila and got NT$120,000. The Third Prize is Yi-Heng Wu's work and then one day� and got NT$80,000. Two recommend work are Li-Ying Wu's work Chiu and Guei-Ru Ling's work Composition and each one got NT$50000. The Second Prize of orchestra work is Chen-Hui Jen's work The Mind of Crescent Moon and got NT$150,000. Three recommend works are Chen-Ling Lin's work A moon in the ancient time ,Shin-Lei Chen's work Sink, Yi-An Chou's work Inkof Painting: Forset and each one got NT$50,000.

Taiwan 's National Chiang Kai Shek Culture Center has produce Hwang-Long PAN's orchestra concert at National Concert Hall on April.08 2005. The Program is include Penglai , Formosa Landscape , Wandlungsphasen and Harmony of the World .This is first time in Taiwan for whole concert's program creating by native composer. Also ISCM-Taiwan has collaborate with Taiwan's Vocal association to producer the Contemporary Vocal work's concert and will do it once time every year.

For inspire international composers to fuse authentic Oriental cultural elements to compose music that possesses ethnic values. the Council for Cultural Affairs, Executive Yuan, Taiwan will presented 2006 Tsang-Houei Hsu International Music Composition Award . There will be three major categories for this year : Ethnic Music Instruments Category?Oriental Elements Category and Vocal Category. Contestants and submission requirements: No restriction on nationalities or age. First Prize will get NTD300,000.
