  • Please describe your organization’s activities over the past year, including concerts, commissions, collaborations, publications: 

    The AIC elected a new chair (Karen Power) and made one notable contribution to the campaign for better support for the Arts in Ireland during Covid-19.

    Behind the scenes, the AIC became part of a new organisation called Music Alliance Ireland:

    We are an alliance of music organisations and individuals, working together for the development and representation of music in Ireland.

    Aim
    To strengthen and support the viability and growth of the music sector in Ireland and the people within it.

    Who we are

    Crash Ensemble, Diatribe Records, Improvised Music Company, Journal of Music, Kirkos Ensemble, Music Network, Contemporary Music Centre, AIC.

    What we do

    We unite around common issues to support and develop the music sector in Ireland.

    Voice: We advocate on behalf of the music sector in Ireland and the people within it.
    Infrastructure: We work to improve resources, spaces and opportunities for music.
    Collaborative working: We aim to build a greater sense of community for everyone in the music sector.
