nyMusikk's central hub in Oslo focuses its productions around major collaborative projects and various dissemination concepts, in addition to the annual festival, Only Connect Festival of Sound. We celebrated Grønland kirke's anniversary with Pinquins percussion and NyNorsk Messingkvintett and pieces by James Tenney, Eivind Guldbrandsen and Therese Birkelund Ulvo. We collaborated with Oslo Filharmonic on a concert with works by Arne Nordheim, Jérôme Notinger, George Crumb and Natasa Barrett. A jubilee concert for Norwegian composer Bjørn Fongaard was held in the fall, just before we sent Song Circus on a national tour with Graatarslagjet. We moved our annual festival Only Connect Festival of Sound for the first time from Oslo to Stavanger. In collaboration with Ilan Volkov and tectonics we held a three day festival at different locations - RIMI/IMIR, Stavanger Concert hall with Stavanger Symfoni Orcestra and TOU Scene.
