    The most important event was to host ISCM World Music Days 2019 in Tallinn and Tartu under the umbrella of Estonian Music Days.

    One of the most important accomplishments of Estonian Composers’ Union, is our local new music festival Estonian Music Days, the name card for Estonian contemporary music, which has been held now for decades and kept complete sovereignty. This festival has been and still is one of the main arenas and seedbeds for the new streams of music. In 2019, the festival hosted the world biggest contemporary music event ISCM World Music Days 2019 with the best estonian performers, and also some excellent international collectives.
    The focus of the festival lies on the intersections of music and other fine arts as well as on exploring the position of music in the extremely diverse and fast-paced experimental context of the present day.

    ISCM World Music Days 2019 statistics:
    * More than 170 pieces in the program, of which 100 were international
    * Over 20 world premieres
    * Around 50 pieces by Estonian composers
    * More than 30 concert venues
    * Over 7000 visitors
    * Concerts in Tallinn (Tallinn House of Blackheads, Tallinn Culture Hub, Estonian Academy of Arts, Song Festival Grounds, Estonian Concert Hall, Kanuti Gildi Saal, MIM project space, Philly Joe's, etc), Tartu (Estonian National Museum, St Johns Church) in Laulasmaa at Arvo Pärt Center

    Estonian Composers Union also participated in Classical NEXT.
    ECU is also an active member of ECSA (European Composers and Songwriters Association).
