  • Please describe your organization’s activities over the past year, including concerts, commissions, collaborations, publications: 

    During 2018 Russian section organizes about 40 international projects (90 concerts) in cooperation with different culture organizations both Russian and foreign. Among internatiional collaborations:
    February-March: Residence in Californian Universities (Chapman University, UCLA, CalState Fullerton, etc) during which were presented both Russian and American composers including premierres (professors and students)
    May: South Korea, Seoul, Hanyang New Music festival organise by CREAMA (artdirector Jongwoo Yim) - international music program
    May: Concert at the WMD-Beijing Modern Music Festival. Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble performed the selected works by Neville Hall (New Zealand), Justina Repeckaite (Lithuania) , Gabriel Erkoreka (Spain), Marianna Liik (Estonia), LI Shaosheng (China), Franz Martin Olbrisch (Germany). Then MCME presented the new works by Chinese and international composers in Chengdu and at the Nanning China-Asean Festival
    June: At the Intersonanzen festival in Potsdam (Germany) there were presented works by German and Russian composers
    June: At the Diaghilev Festival (Perm, Russia) there wedre presented works by Enno Poppe and geor Friedrich Haas (Russian premierres)
    July: the new music initiatives in Russia: "Composers Readings" as all Russia's (then it became international) call for scores for young composers
    August-September: 8th International Young Composers Academy in Tchaikovsky-city. Among professors: Chaya Czhernowin (Israel/USA), Santiago Diez Fisher (Switzerland), Colin Roche (ramce), David Lefkowitz (USA), Dmitri MKourliandski (Russia). Among selected stidents were students from Russia, Great Britain, China, South Korea, Portugal, Germany, Ukraine, elurussia, etc.
    October: In Kazan were presented new music by Finnish composers

    There were organized several lectures, among them: lectures of professors of 8th Composers academy in Tchaikovsky, lecture series for young composers and musicicologists (8th Composers academy in Tchaikovsky), lecture devoted to Gerard Grisey (in Moscow during festival "Another Space, etc
