The 16th SUN RIVER PRIZE Students’ New Music Composition Competition received 115 applications from all over the world, including China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, United States, Canada, Israel, Iran, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, Finland, Serbia, Russia, and Poland, a total of 22 countries, along with Hong Kong (China) and Taiwan (China) region.
The 9th Rivers Awards Composition Competition has attracted extensive attention from Chinese and international composers since the announcement of the competition rules in January 2020. Through careful review of the 93 entries from 13 countries and regions across the globe, the Jury of nine members has shortlisted the following 11 entries for the final round:
Euskal Herriko Txistulari Elkartea call for works for the EHTE Composition Contest 2020
The objective of the contest is to promote the creation of new pieces for txistu* or its instrumental family. Composers of any nationality are invited to submit a representative work for chamber ensemble (not necesarilly composed for txistu).
Considering the impact of COVID-19 and the latest situation of disease prevention, the Organizing Committee of the Rivers Awards Composition Competition has made the decision to postpone this year’s event. The deadline for entry submission will be extended from Wednesday, May 6, 2020 to Friday, July 17, 2020 (17:00); and the date of the final concert is to be determined, as the situation permits, and to be announced later.
