In order to create a new repertoire for young string quartets, the Association Piero Farulli announces a competition (PDF Call for Entries) open to all composers of the European Union for creating works of max 15 minutes duration, for string quartet (two violins, viola and cello). The jury will be composed by three distiguished musicians (one composer and two string instrument players), appointed by the artistic committee of the Association. The winning work will be the requested piece to be performed in the following year’s Competition for the following year and the composer will be awarded with the publication of the score provided by a major music publishing house.
