The 16th SUN RIVER PRIZE Students’ New Music Composition Competition received 115 applications from all over the world, including China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, United States, Canada, Israel, Iran, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, Finland, Serbia, Russia, and Poland, a total of 22 countries, along with Hong Kong (China) and Taiwan (China) region. There were 2 entries violated the regulation of the competition, therefore, 113 entries got into the preliminary evaluation stage.

 

 

EHTE COMPOSITION CONTEST 2020

 

 

 

 

Euskal Herriko Txistulari Elkartea call for works for the EHTE Composition Contest 2020

The objective of the contest is to promote the creation of new pieces for txistu* or its instrumental family. Composers of any nationality are invited to submit a representative work for chamber ensemble (not necesarilly composed for txistu).

Considering the impact of COVID-19 and the latest situation of disease prevention, the Organizing Committee of the Rivers Awards Composition Competition has made the decision to postpone this year’s event. The deadline for entry submission will be extended from Wednesday, May 6, 2020 to Friday, July 17, 2020 (17:00); and the date of the final concert is to be determined, as the situation permits, and to be announced later.

The Rivers Awards Composition Competition aims to promote extensive exchange between Chinese and Western music, encouraging innovative and explorative composition for Chinese and Western musical instruments, and build a high-end platform to introduce outstanding original musical works to the public.

 

 

KAZIMIERZ SEROCKI 16TH INTERNATIONAL COMPOSERS’ COMPETITION 2019

 

 

 

 

TOTAL VALUE OF PRIZES: 25.000 PLN DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: September 5th ENTRY FEE:55 EUR The competition is open to composers of all ages and nationalities. More than one score per composer is permitted. It is possible to submit works already performed and/or awarded in other competitions, excluding compositions already published.Only compositions for chamber ensemble of 3 to 5 instruments (chosen from the list below), without conductor. Instruments:1 flute, 1 oboe, 1 clarinet, 1 bassoon, 1 french horn, 1 piano, 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello.
